In recent months, we've been working on improving ThinkOut to provide you with a better experience regarding managing your business's cash flow.

Now you have access to a new interface that you can already start using on beta.thinkout.io, with the same login credentials and transaction history, forecasts, and budgets.

In short, here's what you'll find in both the current version of the platform and the beta version:

πŸ“ Workspaces

Now you can organize your financial data much more simply. Whether you want to analyze the finances of your current business, see how another planned project will look financially, or manage your personal finances, you can create separate workspaces.

πŸ“Š Multiple ways to view the cash flow plan

To better understand your financial position based on account balances or the comparison between inflows and outflows, you can set up filters, and save them to have the cash flow view you need, at a glance.

  • See the cash flow with the evolution of balances on one or more bank accounts.

  • Monitor the difference between inflows and inflows with filters on categories, cash flow activities, tags, or business partners.

πŸ“ˆ Cash flow scenarios

Now you can get valuable information by having real-time comparison between actual cash flow and all created scenarios. You can start with 3 types of scenarios:

  • Blank: Build a scenario from scratch, which you can name, assign a color, and set an initial balance.

  • Dynamic: Generated based on real-time cash flow, which you can modify where necessary. As the cash flow updates, the scenario will also be updated with new values where you haven't intervened. In practice, you'll be able to see in real-time how the current cash flow might look if you change specific values in certain categories.

  • Snapshot: Replicate the data from the cash flow over a fixed period, and later you can modify the amounts in the categories where you want to see changes. This type of scenario helps when you want to make a specific comparison over a limited period (e.g., a project that spans 3 months).

πŸ’° Plan and track budget execution

Easily plan income and expenses with the help of the improved budget tracking function. You can stay up to date with your financial goals by tracking budget execution and ensuring you don't lose sight of what's happening in reality.

πŸ“Š Personalized dashboard

Now you can have quicker access to the most relevant information for you and your business, and more importantly, you can choose from over 25 widgets and arrange your dashboard to your preferences.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ’Ό Add counterparties

You can identify and group transactions more efficiently based on business partners, making it easier to track transactions with a client or supplier and gain insights that can help you make informed decisions regarding them.

πŸ”„ Mark transfers between accounts

You can mark transfers between accounts much more easily, excluding them from the cash flow plan for greater precision and clarity. For example, now there's no need to have a paired transaction to mark the transfer (eg.: in the case of cash withdrawals, it was necessary to create a cash account to enter the withdrawal so you could mark the transfer out of the bank account - into the cash account).

πŸ‘οΈβ€πŸ—¨οΈ Hide transactions you don't need

Now you can focus on key transactions by hiding those you don't want to include in calculations. This will help you focus on what matters most in your cash flow plan.

πŸͺ„ Use automation rules

In addition to automatically assigning categories and tags, criteria can now be established for automating transaction exclusion, marking as transfers, and assigning business partners.

βœ… Mark forecasts as realized

You can mark forecasts as realized, with optional association with bank transactions. Once marked, forecasts will be removed from cash flow planning and will no longer be taken into account for future results.

πŸ“₯ Import history

Import account statements or lists of invoices directly into Transactions and Forecasts and easily access import history to ensure your data is always up to date.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» Management

To see aggregated results on all added workspaces, you can enter the Management section, where you have details about their commercial activity. Here you can also manage the team, with invited colleagues, as well as the newly added profiles.
